About Us

Firm Foundations, Ltd. was established in September of 1993, so we have been in operation for 14 years!

It seems like only yesterday that the decision was made by my husband and me to open our shop. We knew there was a great need for a shop like ours in the western suburbs of Chicago, and felt that we wanted to help the women of this area in the important endeavor of obtaining proper fitting undergarments!!

We rented space in the Convenience Center at Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard, Il., and our work was cut out for us! I never thought I’d see the day when I would be doing construction work, but lo and behold, I did! My husband and I, with the help of a few wonderful family members and friends, completely remodeled our rented space, and we are proud to say that our hard work has been admired by many!

I wish that each of you could come by and see for yourselves. We have a very cozy little shop!!!! Our customers love our warm décor, large, comfy fitting rooms, and mostly our caring attitude. Each of our staff members truly endeavors to give every person that comes in our shop her undivided attention, and her most sincere, and honest opinions. We think this is the proper way to do business.

We are also very proud of our merchandise assortment. We have worked exceptionally hard to have on hand, or be able to order, the best fitting and highest quality garments, at the most reasonable prices. We think we have managed to accomplish this.

We hope to be able to help those of you that cannot get to our location, and that is why this website is being introduced. Please give us a try. We think you’ll like our caring ways!!
